I picked it due to the fact that it was marketed in January and by February the asking price had been reduced by 8%. This signals to me that the owners are eager to sell and that there may be more “Wiggle Room” available. It can be rented as it is, but I would recommend that it is updated at some point, whether this is done in one go or over a period of time.

A decently sized property with lounge and dining area. The kitchen is of moderate size and seems to have all the necessary space for white goods. The two bedrooms are of equal size and large enough for double beds and plenty of storage. The parking is on-road, but there is also a garage. There is double glazing and gas central heating, but it is not clear from the property details whether it is partial or full.

A very nicely presented semi detached on an up and coming area of Walsall due to the housing development in the area. Another property billed as a buy-to-let investment by Goodchilds of Bloxwich (01922 312 016). A nice spec on this one and can be let as is, but I would recommend changing the décor in the living room and at least one of the bedrooms. It appears that full gas central heating and double glazing is present.

A traditional mid-terraced house in a popular area for rented accommodation in Walsall. It’s yet another property billed as a buy-to-let investment by Goodchilds of Bloxwich (01922 312 016). It’s a medium spec property and doesn’t need anything doing to it from what I can see of it, there being no photos of the bedrooms  and can be let as is as far as I am concerned. Though gas central heating is stated, there is no mention of whether there is double glazing. There is a shower mixer tap, but it could really do with a fitted electric shower and screen.

No bath in the er, bath-room, but that’s no biggie and some people prefer that anyway.

A standard terraced house with a modernised kitchen and certainly not much to look at from the outside, but sometimes this blinds us to the rental potential. Talking of modernisation, the decoration could do with updating. However, in general a good sized property with three double bedrooms, double glazing and gas central heating. Acceptable as it stands, but as I always say, there is always room for improvement. It doesn’t have to cost a fortune as sometimes a little says more. For starters the kitchen has been modernised and it stands to reason the rest of the property should follow suite (Did you see what I did there?).
