It’s a newbuild property and was last sold in 2007 for £120k, but I can’t see it reaching the current asking price this time around. It’s a pretty good spec and very much good to go as a rental, but the garden is on the small side.

You can get away with the decor as it is, but you may want to get rid of the lime green in the one of the bedrooms. Just a thought since everything else is neutral.

As to be expected from a newbuild property it has all the mod cons including a modern fully fitted kitchen with oven/ hob, modern bathroom, double glazing, gas central heating and there are two allocated parking spaces.

The location is ideal for commuting. Not far from the Chester and Lichfield roads leading to Cannock, Walsall, Lichfield and Streetly. Many other amenities and services are all within a short distance away.

“Why should Walsall’s pensioners be forced to downsize? A question I received via social media a couple of weeks ago.  The mature member of a Walsall society came across my article I wrote at the start of the year (see article HERE), about Walsall pensioners feeling trapped in their homes.

There are around 24,000 home owning OAP’s in Walsall.

After working hard for a life time and buying a home for themselves and their family, the children have flown the nest and now they are left to rattle around in a big house. Many feel trapped in their large homes, hence I dubbed these Walsall home owning mature members of our society, ‘Generation Trapped’.

So, should we force OAP Walsall homeowners to downsize?

Every now and again a surprise package of a property turns up and I thought I would share my latest find with you.

Priced at £120k for a three bed semi is about average for the type and area. It is immaculately presented with a modern fitted kitchen and bathroom. The surprise feature is the large curtilage at the front of the property, which can easily accommodate several vehicles, but obviously as a landlord you wouldn’t want to turn this part of the property into a small caravan park. However, the reality of the situation is that professional couples/ families generally have more than one car. So, this would be ideal in meeting that requirement.
